Crystal Vision shows project-winning up and down converters and embedded audio modules at IBC 2010

The four new interface products that Crystal Vision will be showing on Stand 2.B11 at IBC 2010 work with 3Gb/s, HD and SD sources, can handle four groups of embedded audio and include the option of integrated fibre input/output connectivity. They have also helped Crystal Vision to win many of the biggest projects currently happening in the broadcast industry, following in-depth product evaluation and acceptance by major broadcasters.

At IBC Crystal Vision will be demonstrating the project-winning features of the Up-Down 3G up/down/cross converter, Q-Down-A 3G short-delay down converter and DA, TANDEM 3G embedder/de-embedder and SYNNER-E 3G multi-functional synchroniser. Crystal Vision products have always been designed to save rack space by being space-saving modules with 12 fitting in a 2U frame, but go one step further now with the latest products fitting more functionality in a single frame slot than ever before. The FIP fibre input and FOP fibre output options plug directly on to the Up-Down 3G, Q-Down-A 3G, TANDEM 3G and SYNNER-E 3G motherboards making it easy for them to send or receive signals from beyond the local equipment bay, while having the fibre integral to the board reduces the need to use additional rack space and money for separate fibre optic transmitters and receivers.

Autocue, the leading provider of integrated newsroom automation and teleprompting solutions, has completed the installation of its QSmart newsroom computer system (NRCS) and QStore audio/video server as part of a program to further develop the award-winning journalism facilities at the University of Lincoln. The new system provides production planning, scripting and rundown management tools for the seven newsrooms plus storage and playout facilities for all of the radio and television presentation studios. The University was the first institution in Europe to be ‘Recognised for Excellence’ by the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA) and has won the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) award for Innovation in Broadcast Training, and the addition of this new Autocue system demonstrates a commitment to the continued provision of industry-leading facilities for their students.

New Lens adaptors for the Sony NEX-VG10

Following a meeting at the Sony UK head office, we can reveal photos of the much awaited NEX-VG10 together with the MTF Nikon G and PL adaptors

Bill Drummond, the Sony European product manager was excited to see for himself MTFs new products designed for the NEX range.

Both the camera, together with our Nikon and PL adaptors will be with Sony at IBC and Photokina.

These MTF lens adaptors will be shipping around the end of September, prices to be announced soon

New Sony E Mount adaptors from MTF

sony lens mount With the introduction of the Sony NEX stills cameras, and NEX-VG10 camcorder later this year, we have started work on some new products to suit.
We are pleased to announce that the first of these are Worlds first PL to E mount and Nikon G to E mount adaptors.
 
As ever with all MTF products, these  are designed and manufactured in the UK  with extreme precision using HE30 aluminium and our own stainless steel E mount.
Also coming soon from MTF is a modular tripod or handheld support system specifically designed for these E mount and also for our Micro 4/3 lens adaptors.
Both of these new products together with other lens adaptors will be on the Sony stand at IBC and Photokina.
