Selling on tv-bay is a simple 5 step process. |

FACT 4 :- in less than 5 minutes you can be adding your first advert
First you need to register, the fields marked with a * are essential and you decide what other information you wish to give bearing in mind anything you give will be available to all viewers of your advert. If you are unsure then we suggest just a first name and an email address will be enough for an prospective purchaser to make initial contact with you.
**If you do not see the register page then you may be using ad blocking software such as Norton - please diable ad blocking on the software menu.**
It is also important to select the currency you wish your adverts to appear in. You can also enhance your adverts by adding a Dealer Stamp (please contact us for rates) or upgrading to PREMIUM (see PDF from here regarding advertising opportunites).
After registration you can change your profile, password and view ad's you have previously placed which is labelled MY PROFILE. Primarily though you will need to place an ad and this option is on the left panel of the site and is a BLUE box saying "ADD ADVERTS"

Before you can add your first advert you will need to add some credits to your account. You may also have a promotional code that can be used. Click BUY CREDITS to see the credits home page.
The cost of credits are outlined in the tables below, when you are logged in you will also be able to use our calculator to easily work out how many to buy. |

When you have added some credits to your account you can then go directly to adding your first advert.
- Select the TYPE, for example FOR SALE, WANTED, HIRE or JOBS, where you want your advert to appear.
- Select the category that best fits your item for sale, if we do not have one then contact us and we may be able to create one for you
- Select package type - they are priced as per the table above.
- Select the duration (90 days or 365) - again priced as above
- Enter the day you wish to start advertising with tv-bay.com
- Enter the name of the manufacturer (i.e. Sony)
- Enter the Model (i.e. BVW75)
DO NOT INSERT CHARACTERS INTO MANUFACTURER OR MODEL or SHORT DESCRIPTION SUCH AS " / % - stick to standard keyboard letters and numbers. Example do not enter 2" enter 2 inch instead.
- Short Description - This will appear next to the single line advert so keep to under 100 characters and use key words to attract viewers to want see more.
- Description - Enter other information that would attract the purchaser to your advert such as age, software version, usage etc. Remember that any words you enter here will also be picked up when the purchaser does a "keyword" search so enter all relevant words to ensure your advert is found.
- Enter the Voltage and TV Standard (optional)
- NEW or USED - tick the box that describes your product - remember ex-demo is USED
- Price. This will be the currency you selected when registering. Just enter the number no currency symbol or tick the Make an Offer box
- Select an image - click browse and select an image from your computer - this will then be inserted onto your advert. It will auto size but try to keep to an image no bigger than 300x300 - this speeds up the time it take for your advert to be shown as well.
- If your advert is PREMIUM then you may select a second image.
- Just above SAVE there is an AUTORENEW option - leave this ticked if you wish your advert to be automatically renewed on tv-bay when it expires - credits will be deducted automatically
- Select SAVE.

You will see a preview of the advert text . PLEASE ENSURE THIS IS CORRECT - YOU WILL BE ABLE TO EDIT SOME FIELDS LATER BUT NOT MANUFACTURER OR MODEL TEXT.

Click save again and you will see your advert on the live site straight away. Its always worth opening up your advert and selecting "CONTACT SELLER" - fill in the short form and then you should recieve an email within a minute or so - this tests the email route is functioning correctly.

DEALER STAMP EQUIPMENT LISTS
If you have a Dealer Stamp then tv-bay will import all of your adverts for you (up to 1000 at a time!!). Please download the template below and complete the dealerstamp.xls - when you have done this please email it toadvertiser@tv-bay.com and we will upload them for you, this facility is available to holders of a Dealer Stamp which shows your logo and company name against every advert imported. Also please download the categoriesID.xls - this file will show which category number you should insert into the file you return to us.

Dealer Stamps are a very effective way of advertising and cost from just £60 per month.
The adverts are all imported under your username and email address so you can edit or remove them at any time you wish.

NORTON
Please disable "Ad Blocking" - this will prevent you from registering with tv-bay and as the word "advert" is mentioned manyt imes on the webiste it will also prevent you seeing a lot of our content. You can add tv-bay.com to your list of accepted sites if you prefer, this will block ads on other sites but allow them on tv-bay.
If you are using Norton then it is possible that it blocks any web page with the word "advertisement" in it - press here to visit the Norton web site to create a solution and enable you to view our site.
